Projecting The NBA Season Based On EWA

 ESPN recently released their season projections based on real plus minus or RPM. I personally think this metric is terrible and only someone with a mental deficit or substance abuse problem would use it. RPM gives Danny Green and several other role players star level impacts. It's hard to take that seriously. I consider EWA or Estimated Wins Added to be much more accurate.
EWA is the estimated wins contributed by a particular player based on the Hollinger formula.
EWA attempts to value a player’s overall contribution so the more minutes a player plays will increase his EWA. A “replacement” player of about 10-11 PER is used as a comparison.
As you can tell EWA is our favorite basketball stat or statistic.
