Is Lebron James The Greatest Basketball Competitor Ever?
This article won't argue basketball talent or charity giving. Lebron is one of the 10 greatest players of all time however much debate has been made who is the greatest competitor. We will seek to answer this by comparing their defining moments.
Michael Jordan - The Flu Game Sick and suffering from flu-like symptoms that at times he staggered, a dehydrated and exhausted Michael Jordan wills himself to 38 points against the Utah Jazz in a pivotal Game 5, adding to the Bulls star's legend as a clutch performer and relentless competitor. Kobe Bryant- The Achilles Game Bryant felt pain earlier that game a likely achilles strain but the Lakers needed a win to make the playoffs. He continued to push his body. With about 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter he fell to the court after hearing a pop crumpled in pain. Bryant would pick himself up and limp to the free throw line under his own power to make the two free throws to help seal it. Lebron James - The Cramps Game In the middle of Game 1 of The Finals, the air conditioning at the AT&T Center gave out. The temperature rose and LeBron James was the player most affected. Suffering from cramps, James was subbed out multiple times in the second half, leaving the game for good with 3:59 left in the fourth quarter and the Heat within two. The Heat would lose the finals in 5 to the Spurs. If you ask me I give an edge to Kobe Bryant for the risk he took to his longterm health, I put Jordan second as it was still quite gutsy what he did. I will let you the reader decide on Lebron for yourself. What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments. The Recommended Content Widget will appear here on the published site.
