​Memphis Grizzlies star PG Ja Morant recently suffered a heartbreaking  ankle injury. In this article we will explore what it will take for him to recover, his estimated recovery timeline and a brief overview of what type of ankle sprain he has. 

Ja Morant has a grade II ankle sprain as confirmed via multiple sources. Typically this type of ankle sprain involves a partial tear in the ankle ligament. When this ligament tears it causes , swelling, pain and reduces stability when trying to walk.

This will require the RICE treatment plan which is the acronym for rest, ice, compression and elevation. The ankle will stabilized , likely in a boot until the ligament has fully healed. Likely it will be 5-6 weeks until Morant is able to play again.

Karl Anthony Towns left wrist was recently injured and he dislocated it. What does this mean and how long will he be out? Typically a dislocated wrist will need to be reduced and have the bone that has moved out of place be put back into the correct position. 

The swelling and inflammation as well as any potential infection will all be factors in the healing process. Treatment will include a sling or cast to stabilize and prevent further injury. Healing time will depend on several factors including if there is any ligament damage or a potential fracture or broken wrist. Recovery time is 3-6 weeks and fully depends on severity of the injury.

We don't have a source with the Timberwolves but assuming there is no additional ligament or bone damage Karl Anthony Towns will be out for the next 1-2 months.

​James Harden insists he wants out of Houston, the Rockets are asking for a haul to aid in what many consider to be an impending rebuild. 
Thus far only a handful of teams seem to have strong interest all are on Harden's trade list. 
The Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks are the most engaged suitors.

A trusted league source has confirmed to us the Bucks are making a push to land Harden via trade. A package of Brook Lopez, Donte Divencenzo and two 2nd round picks being discussed. The Rockets don't feel that is enough so the Bucks are shopping Khris Middleton in an attempt to garner additional assets from a 3rd team for him.

At the moment we aren't there yet. We have been told that if the 76ers would part with Ben Simmons or Joel Embiid Harden would have been a 76er already but thus far neither has been offered in trade talks.  The Heat aren't offering Tyler Herro or Bam Adebayo creating a window of opportunity for the Bucks to potentially Trade for James Harden and convince Giannis to stay. More to come as we receive updates.

Update: The Nuggets and Raptors are both making a push to trade for James Harden we have been told  Michael Porter Jr and Jamal Murray are on the table in trade talks.

 ​Recently a news article came out about Kemba Walker having a stem cell injection in his knee. The scary part is why athlete's typically get these injections. Usually they only occur as an arthritis treatment. Osteoarthritis is a strong possibility. Kemba Walker has been a star for years. Drafted 9th overall in 2011 by the Charlotte Bobcats. In the 2011 NBA draft there were no clear health concerns noted.

​The New England Journal Of Medicine states Oseoarthritis is a degenerative disease characterized by loss and degradation of articular cartilage in addition to synovial inflammation, leading to joint stiffness, swelling, pain and loss of mobility. The reason any type of arthritis is a concern is the breakdown of knee cartilage and the extreme pain that eventually comes. When a joint suffers from arthritis it starts to lose mobility and eventually the pain and loss of motion are crippling. 

Blake Griffin has been a shell of himself ever since his knee arthritis started. Kemba Walker is likely looking at a similar fate. It only took a couple years for Blake Griffin to struggle to stay healthy and make an impact. The last year or two of Kemba Walker's contract is sounding like an albatross. Buddy Hield to Knicks rumors are trending again, last night new whispers of Buddy Hield to Knicks came out with a proposed package of Frank Ntlikina and Julius Randle for Buddy Hield. We have confirmed a conversation occurred but it was the Kings calling Knicks to guage Hield's trade value. Our source says talks were never serious and Hield is expected to be in Sacramento at least until the trade deadline. The Kings want a lot for Hield and likely wouldn't move him without draft assets included in a trade package.

There are whispers the Clippers have called the Suns about a Paul George Devin Booker Swap via trade. We will provide updates as we receive them. 

Update confirmed Clippers called to inquire about Devin Booker via trade but talks went nowhere. Suns were offered Paul George and Clippers are shopping Lou Williams seeking a first round pick but thus far nothing has been close.

 Kawhi Leonard isn't sold on the Clippers ability to build a championship team around him. A trusted league source confirms that he is looking at other teams. A team up on the Miami Heat with Jimmy Butler is very possible, leaving for the Knicks has also been discussed. Kawhi would need the Knicks to sign or trade for a star to pair with him in order to get a commitment.
The Knicks have been very patient in their rebuild and have been stockpiling assets. If the Clippers don't make the NBA finals look for him to bolt to New York or Miami.

The Heat could acquire Kawhi in a sign and trade to pair with Jjmmy Butler or the Knicks could find the right costar to convince Kawhi to sign outright. We will find out this summer if there is smoke to go with the fire.
