5 potential busts in the 2020 NBA draft Sometimes a player underperforms the place they were drafted. Sometimes they don’t even stick through their rookie contract. Here are five potential busts we have identified in the 2020 NBA draft. Lamelo Ball Ball isn’t an elite athlete, isn’t an elite defender and is a poor jump shooter. His older brother became a passable NBA starter but we are concerned the younger Ball won’t even be that. It would not surprise us if he doesn’t finish his rookie contract before ending up back overseas in Australia or Europe. Obi Toppin Toppin is a good story who has shot up draft boards based on his motor and athletic tools but he is extremely raw with no advanced skills. He will likely be a rotational big at best and underperform his draft slot. Onyeka Okongwu Okongwu is a project offensively and isn’t an elite shot blocker. He has a good motor and a good nose for the basketball but he is so raw the perfect team would have to develop him like the Spurs for him to ever be more than a backup big. We expect him to underperform his draft slot as well. Tyrese Haliburton Haliburton isn’t bad he’s just nothing special. Not a high level athlete or scorer, none of the tools you expect from a potential star. Honestly if he is even a lower tier starter we would be surprised we see a passable backup PG and nothing more and in the NBA those are pretty easy to find. Jaden Mcdaniels Mcdaniels lacks a consistent motor and a rail thin body that will be abused in the NBA unless he locks himself in a weight room. The raw tools are intriguing but we worry he doesn’t love to play and won’t finish his rookie contract on an NBA roster. The Recommended Content Widget will appear here on the published site.

5 potential Superstars in the 2020 NBA Draft
Every draft has prospects with higher potential than others this year is no different. Although some argue the 2020 NBA draft isn’t as deep there are still pockets of high potential talent available. Here are our five potential superstars in the 2020 NBA draft. We have ranked them on likeliness of achieving their ceiling. Anthony Edwards Edwards is a skilled three level scorer who flashes an elite first step and tight handle he could potentially be a Carmelo Anthony type scorer in the NBA. James Wiseman Wiseman is an athletic freak possessing all the tools to be an elite rim protector at the NBA level. He has some short comings in basketball IQ and tends to commit dumb fouls but the raw potential to be a Dwight Howard or Walmart version of Anthony Davis exists in our opinion. Killian Hayes Hayes is probably one of the safer high upside picks in this draft. He is an elite playmaker who makes routine plays with ease, his basketball IQ is off the charts. He showcases a tight handle and solid array of scoring moves including floaters and a nice touch on his jumpshot. He reminds us a lot of Tony Parker Deni Avdjia Deni is another high IQ player who isn’t exceptional on paper but that lack of flashiness could be deceiving. He has a good shooting touch and usually makes the right play. He could potentially be a Danillo Gallinari type at the next level. Cole Anthony Cole Anthony Is an Enigma. His raw athletic ability and tight handle say future superstar but a knee injury and inconsistent production cast doubt on his ceiling is he a poor man’s Derrick Rose, a Ty Lawson clone or something less? We see star potential but it’s a risk whether he ever fulfils it. The Recommended Content Widget will appear here on the published site.
