Zaire Wade NBA Scouting Profile
As many son's of NBA legends can testify to being in your father's spotlight provides expectations, challenges and opportunity. Zaire Wade is no stranger to this world. Currently a 3 star prospect per 247 sports the younger Wade has some real flaws to his game that still need to be addressed.
Zaire Wade is 6'3" Point Guard with a strong first step , excellent shooting touch and good court vision. Zaire does lack driving and finishing ability with his off hand. This is one of his major flaws that still needs work. We project Zaire Wade to have solid NBA starter potential and to be a likely mid 1st round pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Zaire Wade had a recent injury which complicates his development but we will provide an updated look at the game tape soon. The Recommended Content Widget will appear here on the published site.

According to a trusted league source the New York Knicks intend to target Bradley Beal as a January or trade deadline acquisition. The Wizards currently aren't open to moving Beal but if the season goes as poorly as most of us expect their stance could soften. The Knicks love the idea of a big 3 of Julius Randle, Rj Barrett and Beal.
Other teams with confirmed trade interest are the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat. The Knicks however according to our source will likely be the most aggressive suitor. More to come as we get updates. The Recommended Content Widget will appear here on the published site.

RJ Hampton Could Be A Future Star9/25/2019 RJ Hampton Could Be A Future Star
RJ Hampton oozes high level NBA potential but one thing many don’t talk about are his attitude and work ethic. “He just seems like someone who gets it” One league executive told me. “If he isn’t a star I will be shocked” We feel the same way here at Basketball Rehab. Let’s take a closer look at RJ Hampton and learn this 5 star high school recruit a bit better.
Roderick "R. J." Hampton Jr was born February 7, 2001 and currently plays for the New Zealand Breakers of the National Basketball League (NBL). He attended Little Elm High School in Little Elm, Texas and was considered a five-star recruit and one of the top players in his class. Hampton was recruited by top NCAA Division I programs but chose to bypass college and play professionally. He has played for the United States under-17 and under-16 national teams. He won gold medals at the 2017 FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship and 2018 FIBA Under-17 World Cup. Hampton possess an elite first step and explodes off the dribble. His scoring ability is really quite impressive as is his versatility. R.J. Had 11 pts , 4 asts and 3 rebs during NBL blitz. We will have to wait a bit longer but we expect an even bigger contribution when the National Basketball League season opens. The Recommended Content Widget will appear here on the published site.

Marvin Bagley III has unlimited potential; Zion Williamson is an athletic freak and Cassisus Stanley might have been made by a mad scientist in a laboratory.
All of these elite prospects have one thing in common they have been commits to Duke University. Stanley has yet to make his collegiate debut however his potential is clear at 6’6” with a rangy wingspan and elite athleticism he has all the tools you want in a superstar NBA player. His high school stats at Sierra Canyon follow. Most impressively were the 4 assists and 7 rebounds Stanley averaged in high school showing he could impact the game in multiple ways. His 18 points per game are more impressive when you appreciate his versatility. Zion Williamson was just as impressive at Spartanburg Day High School his stats were 32 points 11 rebounds and 3 assists per game. Zion has always been a beast on defense in both high school and college and that’s never been the concerning side with how he’ll translate in the NBA. Marvin Bagley III has everything you want in a modern NBA big man. Elite athleticism, good wingspan, great motor and the potential to be a knock down jump shooter. Bagley also dominated in high school and college. At Sierra Canyon High School Bagley’s stats were 25 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists per game. In college Bagley and Zion continued to perform. Bagley Posted 21 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists at Duke. Zion’s freshmen stats were 23 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists per game. My biggest concerns with Zion are lack of advanced handle, literally no jump shot and lack of length and height. I do not have these concerns about Bagley. We have yet to see what Cassius Stanley can do in college but I expect big things from him. We here at Basketball Rehab see Bagley as a future superstar. You can read more about that here . We are not as high on Zion . Cassius Stanley is a wait and see as we don’t have his college performance to measure yet but for now our money is on Marvin Bagley III out of the three. The Legal Risks Of NBA Anti Tampering RulesThe NBA anti tampering rules do provide for some controversy. The NBA is trying to reduce tampering, the issue is this extremely difficult to do without opening yourself up to potential litigation. The NBA is essentially an employer and the players employees. With this in mind several legal avenues are a potential concern when trying to prevent tampering. Since tampering is still a form of communication we will take a look at the legal risks. Some potential areas we will explore: 1st amendment free speech protections Unfair labor practices act National Labor relations act Sherman Anti Trust Act In this article we will review the legal precedents if any and the risks of litigation for the NBA. Unfair Labor Practices Act National Labor Relations Act Mainly both of these are based on obvious instances of discrimination or politically influenced limiting of communication. Legally it would be difficult to prove any form of communication was limited because of this. Since tampering isn’t usually obscene in nature a employers only real argument would be that it would be a type of communication restricted as a business practice. The easiest argument would be with Sherman Anti Trust act: The “rule of reason” is a cornerstone of antitrust law, and stands for the principle that, in order to be illegal, a restriction must go beyond simply regulating competition and instead must “suppress” or “destroy” it. Additionally, the “nonstatutory labor exemption” is most frequently applied to professional sports leagues, allowing leagues and players to collectively bargain free from anticompetitive guidelines that would otherwise be considered a violation of antitrust laws. This Comment examines the NBA’s current anti-tampering policy as it is presently enforced and assesses steps the League can take to diminish the pervasiveness of tampering. Section II provides legal background for antitrust laws concerning anti-tampering restrictions, including the Sherman Act, the rule of reason, and the nonstatutory labor exemption. Section III explains the NBA rules regarding tampering and chronicles the League’s enforcement patterns when violations have occurred. Section IV examines the NBA’s stance on tampering and analyzes how its shortcomings in policy enforcement have led to a systemic player tampering problem throughout the League. Section V offers solutions for the NBA to reverse the upward trend in tampering and analyzes the legality and impact of such actions. The Sherman Antitrust Act makes it illegal to have laws or contracts that place restraints on competition. Congress enacted the Sherman Act, the first and most important federal antitrust law, in 1890 Section 1 provides “Every contract, combination in the form of trust or otherwise, or conspiracy, in restraint of trade or commerce among the several States, or with foreign nations, is hereby declared to be illegal.” Section 2 provides “Every person who shall monopolize, or attempt to monopolize, or combine or conspire with any other person or persons, to monopolize any part of the trade or commerce among the several States, or with foreign nations, shall be deemed guilty of a felony . . . .” There are three elements needed to prove a violation of the Sherman Act: (1) a concerted action to (2) restrain trade, that (3) affects interstate or foreign commerce. On their faces, sports anti-tampering policies meet these criteria, as they are express agreements among the teams that prohibit players from negotiating with other teams, and the market is spread out among the states and, in some cases, countries. However, Supreme Court jurisprudence indicates that only unreasonable restraints on trade are prohibited by the Sherman Act, leaving the door open for sports tampering policies to fit into one of several exceptions to the Act. One could argue that anti-tampering policies are a collective agreement to limit trade, making Section 1 of the Sherman Act applicable. As of the writing of this article no such argument has been attempted. Do you see any other possible legal risks to anti tampering legislation? Let us know in the comments below. Our Case For Ricky Rubio In Basketball Hall Of Fame
As an NBA player despite his high draft status you would never argue for Ricky Rubio as a hall of fame player. However the thing many forget is Rubio is a very accomplished European pro and the basketball hall of fame is not NBA specific. Some of Rubio’s professional basketball accomplishments are as follows:

In the final, accumulated 51 points, 24 rebounds, 12 assists and 7 steals. 2× led the Spanish ACB League in steals: (2007, 2009) Won the Spanish ACB League Rising Star Award: (2007) 3× FIBA European Young Player of the Year: (2007, 2008, 2009) 2× All-Spanish ACB League Team: (2008, 2010) Mister Europa Player of the Year: (2008) Spanish ACB League Defensive Player of the Year: (2009) EuroLeague Rising Star: (2010) Spanish League Most Spectacular Player: (2010) 2011–12 NBA Western Conference Rookie of the Month: December, January 2019 FIBA World Cup MVP This doesn’t include any smaller European leagues or anything before age 16. “One of the things I’ve been talking more about in the past several years is mental wellness of our players,” Silver said. “Some guys are smoking pot in the same way some guys would take a drink. Just using it to calm down a little bit or using it to relax, no big deal.”
“On the other hand, there’s guys in the league who are smoking a lot of pot,” he continued. “Then the question becomes, ‘Well, why are you smoking a lot of pot?’ And that’s where mental wellness comes in.” Silver says he wants to see more research before any decisions could be made. He also addressed the responsibility of the NBA to be aware of the messages being sent to children. “When we change our policy we have to be really careful because we’re clearly sending a message to young people,” said Silver. “Just like with alcohol, you have to teach young people how to use a substance appropriately and responsibly so it doesn’t overwhelm your life.” The NBA currently has not removed marijuana or cannabis from their banned substances list. It is still something they are reviewing. The Recommended Content Widget will appear here on the published site.
