![]() Scottie Barnes is the next Kawhi Leonard. I think I even sound a little nuts saying that. However watching tape of these two in college it feels like I am looking at two mirrors reflecting on each other. Scottie has been one of our favorite prospects since we first watched his high school tape in 2018. He doesn't just love the game. It's obvious how much he just gets it. An elite defender that can guard four positions. Scottie is also an excellent playmaker. Watching him zoom passes across the court and hit shooters with lightning precision is truly something to behold. His passing vision and elite defense remind me a lot of Kawhi as does his ability to score by slashing creatively through the lane. I don't remember the victim's name but I remember the dunk. A powerful one handed flush over the top of some farm boy from Florida who looked like he wanted to write his eulogy that day. The only real knock other than not being an elite scorer in college? He isn't a great shooter. It feels like deja vu all over again. I would take Scottie Barnes number one overall today. I am that confident he will be the next Kawhi in 2-3 years. Agree or disagree? Lamarcus Aldridge shocked the NBA and NBA twitter announcing his retirement today. The reality is looking below surface value this decision wasn’t that surprising and could have been life saving.
An irregular heartbeat also known as an Arrhythmia can be caused by several things. The most worrisome possibilities are a weakening of the heart muscle or damage to the heart valves. Arrhythmias occur when the electrical signals that coordinate heartbeats are not working correctly. An irregular heartbeat may feel like a racing heart or fluttering. Genetics can play a role in this. Even the healthiest well-tuned athlete can just suddenly drop dead on the basketball court. Reggie Lewis , Conrad Mcrae, Zeke Upshaw and Hank Gathers are a few of these tragic examples. Brooklyn Nets big man LaMarcus Aldridge, 35, announced his sudden retirement from NBA on Thursday on his Instagram account. Aldridge said he played his last NBA game on April 10 against the Lakers while dealing with an irregular heartbeat: "Though I'm better now, what I felt with my heart that night was still one of the scariest things I've experienced." Aldridge was a seven-time All-Star and five-time All-NBA selection over 15 seasons, spending the majority of his time with the Portland Trail Blazers. He is Portland's all-time leading rebounder (5,434) and has scored the third-most points (12,562) in franchise history. He averaged just over 19 points and eight rebounds per game throughout his career. An Arrhythmia could also be harmless but if your someone in LaMarcus Aldridge position you don’t take that chance. We have to applaud Aldridge a clear hall of famer for making the right decision for his health and his family. The Recommended Content Widget will appear here on the published site.

The Duke Blue Devils men's basketball team represents Duke University in NCAA Division I college basketball and competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The team is fourth all-time in wins of any NCAA men's basketball program, and is currently coached by Mike Krzyzewski. Duke has won 5 NCAA Championships (tied with Indiana for fourth all-time behind UCLA, Kentucky and North Carolina) and appeared in 11 Championship Games (third all-time) and 16 Final Fours (fourth all-time behind North Carolina, UCLA, and Kentucky). Duke has an NCAA-best .755 NCAA tournament winning percentage. Eleven Duke players have been named the National Player of the Year, and 71 players have been selected in the NBA Draft. Additionally, Duke has had 36 players named All-Americans (chosen 60 times) and 14 players named Academic All-Americans. Duke has been the Atlantic Coast Conference Champions a record 21 times, and also lays claim to 19 ACC regular season titles. Prior to joining the ACC, Duke won the Southern Conference championships five times. Duke has also finished the season ranked No. 1 in the AP poll seven times and is the all-time leader in total weeks ranked as the number one team in the nation by the AP with 135 weeks. The Blue Devils have the third longest streak in the AP Top 25 in history with 200 consecutive appearances from 1996 to 2007, trailing only Kansas’s 231 consecutive polls from 2009 to 2021, and UCLA's 221 consecutive polls from 1966 to 1980. The January 30 issue of The Trinity Chronicle headlined the new sport on its front page. Trinity's first game ended in a loss to Wake Forest, 24–10. The game was played in the Angier B. Duke Gymnasium, later known as The Ark. The Trinity team won its first title in 1920, the state championship, by beating the North Carolina State College of Agriculture and Engineering (now NC State) 25 to 24. Earlier in the season they had beaten the University of North Carolina 19–18 in the first match-up between the two schools. Trinity college then became Duke University. Billy Werber, Class of 1930, became Duke's first All-American in basketball. The Gothic-style West Campus opened that year, with a new gym, later to be named for Coach Card. The Indoor Stadium opened in 1940. Initially it was referred to as an "Addition" to the gymnasium. Part of its cost was paid for with the proceeds from the Duke football team's appearance in the 1938 Rose Bowl. In 1972 it would be named for Eddie Cameron, head coach from 1929 to 1942. In 1952, Dick Groat became the first Duke player to be named National Player of the Year. Duke left the Southern Conference to become a charter member of the Atlantic Coast Conference in 1953. The Duke team under Vic Bubas made its first appearance in the Final Four in 1963, losing 94–75 to Loyola in the semifinal. The next year, Bubas' team reached the national title game, losing to the Bruins of UCLA, who claimed 10 titles in the next 12 years. Bob Verga was Duke's star player in 1967. Bill Foster (1974–1980) The basketball program won its 1000th game in 1974, making Duke only the eighth school in NCAA history to reach that figure. In a turnaround, Coach Bill Foster's 1978 Blue Devils, who had gone 2–10 in the ACC the previous year, won the conference tournament and went on to the NCAA championship game, where they fell to Kentucky. Gene Banks, Mike Gminski ('80) and Jim Spanarkel ('79) ran the floor. Mike Krzyzewski (1980–present) Mike Krzyzewski has been at Duke since 1980. His many accomplishments include:
In Krzyzewski's first season, the Blue Devils would finish the season with a 17–13 overall record and 6–8 record in ACC play. The team would later play in the NIT Tournament advancing to the quarterfinals. Despite having a good record the previous season, the Blue Devils would struggle during the next two seasons finishing with 10 wins in 1982 and 11 wins in 1983. The 1984 team, led by Tommy Amaker & Johnny Dawkins, would bounce back in strong fashion finishing 24–10 and was ranked the No.14 in the AP and Coaches poll and advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament. Duke upset the heavily favored UNLV Runnin' Rebels 79–77 in the Final Four in 1991, a rematch of the 1990 final in which Duke lost by 30 points. The team, led by Christian Laettner, Bobby Hurley, Grant Hill, and Thomas Hill, went on to defeat Kansas 72–65 to win the university's first NCAA Championship. Ranked #1 all season and favored to repeat as national champions in 1992, Duke took part in a game "acclaimed by many as the greatest college basketball game ever played," according to ESPN. In the Elite Eight, Duke met the Rick Pitino-led Kentucky Wildcats. It appeared Kentucky had sealed the win in overtime when guard Sean Woods hit a running shot off the glass in the lane to put Kentucky up by one with 2.1 seconds left on the clock. After a timeout, Duke's Grant Hill threw a full-court pass to Christian Laettner. Laettner took one dribble and nailed a turn-around jumper at the buzzer to send Duke into the Final Four with a 104–103 victory. Duke went on to defeat sixth-seeded Michigan, led by the Fab Five as freshmen starters including Chris Webber, Jalen Rose and Juwan Howard, 71–51 to repeat as national champions. Following the successful repeat, Laettner was the only collegiate player to be chosen for the Dream Team that won Olympic gold in Barcelona, while Krzyzewski was an assistant coach under Chuck Daly of the Detroit Pistons in a precursor to his becoming Team USA coach in 2006 and coaching them to two gold medals. They would later meet Kentucky for another classic regional final game, but blow a 17-point second half lead in losing to the Wildcats. The Blue Devils would lose the 1994 title game to Arkansas and their "Forty Minutes of Hell" defense. The next two seasons would see them fall to just 31–31, though they made the 1996 tournament with an 18–12 record, 8–8 in conference play. They would also fall in the 1999 title game, this time to Jim Calhoun and the UCONN Huskies. Duke defeated Arizona 82–72 to win its third NCAA Championship in 2001, becoming one of a handful of teams in NCAA Tournament history to defeat all of their tournament opponents by double digits. Krzyzewski was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame later that year. On April 5, 2010 Duke Men's Basketball won their fourth NCAA Championship by defeating Butler 61–59. On April 6, 2015 Duke's Men's Basketball won their fifth NCAA Championship by defeating Wisconsin 68–63. Duke has been ranked as the #1 team in the nation 235 weeks in their history. Former Duke stars such as Jim Spanarkel, Gene Banks, Johnny Dawkins, Cherokee Parks, Bobby Hurley, Antonio Lang, Roshown McLeod, William Avery, Trajan Langdon, Grant Hill, Danny Ferry, Christian Laettner, Brian Davis, Elton Brand, Shane Battier, Carlos Boozer, Chris Duhon, Mike Dunleavy, Dahntay Jones, Daniel Ewing, JJ Redick, Shavlik Randolph, Shelden Williams, Corey Maggette, Luol Deng, Josh McRoberts, Gerald Henderson, Andre Dawkins, Austin Rivers, Lance Thomas, Kyle Singler, Miles Plumlee, Mason Plumlee, Marshall Plumlee, Quinn Cook, Nolan Smith, Jason Williams, Jabari Parker, Rodney Hood, Seth Curry, Kyrie Irving, Matt Jones, Amile Jefferson, Jahlil Okafor, Tyus Jones, Justise Winslow, Grayson Allen, Brandon Ingram, Luke Kennard, Jayson Tatum, Harry Giles, Gary Trent Jr., Trevon Duval, Marvin Bagley III, Wendell Carter Jr., RJ Barrett, Marques Bolden, Cam Reddish, Zion Williamson, Tre Jones, Vernon Carey Jr., and Cassius Stanley have gone on to play in the NBA. Many of Krzyzewski's assistants and former players, such as Chuck Swenson at William & Mary, Mike Brey (Delaware and Notre Dame), Jeff Capel (VCU, Oklahoma and Pittsburgh), Chris Collins (Northwestern), Johnny Dawkins (Stanford, UCF), Quin Snyder (Missouri, Utah Jazz), and Steve Wojciechowski (Marquette) have become head basketball coaches at major universities and the NBA, while Pete Gaudet is now the head coach of the India women's national basketball team. Cameron Mercadel Scouting Profile4/13/2021 Cameron Mercadel has been grinding for a while. While you can see the talent he was actually a bit under rated for the 2024 class at number 74.
Despite this when you watch the tape Mercadel flashes NBA star potential. His elite first step, and soft shooting touch give a glimpse of how good he could be. I watched his first high school game and Mercadel's passing vision is truly amazing. On top of a beautiful skip pass to an open shooter he slashed through the lane with ease. He is 4th on our draft board for the 2024 NBA draft for a reason. The Recommended Content Widget will appear here on the published site.

Peyton Kemp Steph Curry 2.0?4/13/2021 Peyton Kemp became an internet sensation at only 10. Now nearing age 13 his talent is just as clear. A 6'0" PG with elite handles and probably the best work ethic I have ever seen. He loves the game of basketball. It is his life force, his passion is so strong I can't see his desire to improve stopping anytime soon.
Kemp can basically make jump shots at will. His jumper is pure, smooth and his release point is picture perfect. He looks a lot like a Steph Curry clone. As he enters high school and there is more game tape we will updating this page with more detail but he looks like the number 1 overall pick in the 2026 NBA draft currently. One final thing for anyone wondering he is no relation to NBA legend Shawn Kemp. Will he make more all star games? We will know soon enough. Jerry Easter the next Lebron?4/13/2021 You watch tape of Jerry Easter and you ask yourself how is a 13 year old already 6'5" and this explosive? He can't be human. A basketball rehab exclusive we broke into the facility and have the confirmed that the US military is bioengineering cyborg super ballers. This explains better how Easter already has a velvety shooting touch, elite first step and looks like a man among boys.
You watch the tape and a young Lebron James pops into your mind. His basketball IQ and elite handle showcase someone who will be a real problem for the league when he goes pro in 2025. What's even scarier is he is already a better shooter. Lebron with a jump shot? Your not defending that. We will follow his prep career and update this page in more detail as more game tape is available. The Recommended Content Widget will appear here on the published site.

![]() Comparing the 1984, 1996 and 2003 drafts. As most draft analysis junkies will attest these three drafts are the cause of much debate. We intend to take the reader on a journey into the world of NBA draft potential and finally answers some questions that have haunted untold millions. These are the three NBA draft’s that most NBA draft junkies can’t help but debate so we will compare them using analytics and player impact to determine once and for all which NBA draft was the greatest. On top of that we will look at the impact of a sample size of top contributors from each draft. Then we will look at the prestige factor and how it provides a global impact to each draft. Let’s begin our journey as Bone Thugs said meet me at the Crossroads as we discover the greatest NBA draft once and for all. Allen Iverson said 1996 is the best but will the numbers support him? Let’s find out. The draft heard round the world. With four clear superstars the rest of this draft was really jut a bonus. One superstar is about average for a draft, two is pretty good but four is insanely rare. 1984: 7 all-stars total. Michael Jordan: He is easily top three all time, Jordan has a career VORP of 116 and an estimated 214 wins added over 15 seasons with the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards. Six MVP’s, Six rings, a DPOY award and more accolades can reasonably be listed. Jordan was the most dominant player we have seen the mid 1980’s his reign continued until the early 2000’s John Stockton: Arguably one of the best defensive PG’s of all time, Stockton was also an elite playmaker and part of the great Utah Jazz teams of the 1990’s His VORP of 106 is 2nd in this draft he is also 2nd in Win shares at 207. Charles Barkley: Barkley was the engine of multiple great Suns teams a superstar through his prime he finished with a VORP of 80 and a WS of 177. Hakeem Olajuwon: Hakeem helped the Rocket win two championships and was a clear superstar in his prime. He finished his career with a VORP of 74 and a WS of 162. Otis Thorpe, Alvin Robertson, Kevin Willis These three all had all-star appearances and were stars in their prime. 1996 The prodigal son returns. Kobe Bryant lived ate and slept the game of basketball, The only player arguably more obsessed was Allen Iverson so it is fitting they were essentially 1 and 1a as impact players from this draft. Kobe Bryant While 1984 arguably had a heavier top you could argue that the 1996 and 2003 draft’s had more depth. This draft had 10 players make at least one all-star game. Kobe Bryant- Kobe grew up idolizing Michael Jordan so it is only right he ended up growing into a diet version of his hero. A clear superstar and 5 time MVP and five time champion Bryant was the leader of an excellent group of Lakers teams in the 2000’s Anyone that watched Kobe play before his tragic death could see his passion for the game and hunger to win at all costs. Ray Allen – Allen helped make the Bucks relevant as a superstar in his prime. He later was a role player on two championship Miami Heat teams. Allen Iverson- Iverson loved basketball so much you probably couldn’t stop him from playing with a gun pointed at him. His team would have to hide his jersey to protect him from himself when he was injured. The greatest scoring PG of all time in my opinion at least. Iverson carried the 76ers to an NBA finals appearance with multiple heroic performances. Steve Nash, Marcus Camby, Stephon Marbury, Peja Stojakavic, Antonie Walker, Kerry Kittles were all stars in their prime. Jermaine O-Neal had several all-star appearances. 2003 The Unicorn. Lebron James can’t be human. People that 6’8” and 250 pounds shouldn’t have his blend of speed and agility. A basketball player was never meant to be built like a linebacker. Whatever alien race he may come from Earth is grateful he came here regardless. 9 total All Stars Lebron James Arguably the greatest player of all time, 4 time NBA champion, 4 time MVP and built like a Mack truck. Lebron James is easily the best player from this draft class. His VORP of 137 and WS of 242 dwarf’s his draft class. Dwyane Wade 3 time NBA champion 3 time MVP, superstar in his prime, Wade carried Miami to a championship in 2006. He is 2nd in this draft class with a VORP of 63 and a WS of 121. Carmelo Anthony A superstar in his prime, and one of the best scorers of all time Melo carried a mediocre Nuggets team to a conference finals appearance. He then spent most of his career carrying a mediocre group of Knicks teams. He was an MVP finalist and finished 3rd in that vote. Chris Bosh, David West were stars, West saw his prime shortened by multiple injuries. Josh Howard, Kyle Korver, Mo Williams and Chris Kaman all had all-star appearances as well. Now that we have compared the draft classes let’s dive deeper. In this next part we will look at the average positive output of each draft class top 8 contributors and compare them to each other. 1984 The top 8 contributors have an average VORP of 59. The average win shares is 141. The average NBA career of this group was 17 years. 1996 The top 8 contributors had an average VORP of 43. An average win shares of 106 and they played for an average of 15 years. 2003 The top 8 contributors had an average win shares of 104. We already mentioned the highlights but there were other solid contributors like long time role players such as Kirk Hinrich and Zaza Pachulia. The average VORP of this group is 42. This group played for an average of 15 years. The prestige factor: It’s hard to argue against the global brand appeal and impact of Lebron James and Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant holds his own but the other two are clearly in a class of their own. Even then Kobe is the most searched of the three with over a million monthly searches to this day still. Lebron might actually be the third most popular on this list as Jordan is still immensely popular in Asia and in China is almost viewed as a religious entity. The Takeaway: While all three draft’s have compelling top end talent. The winner is clear. 1984 has greater depth and a larger impact than the other draft classes could dream of. It’s hard to even get through the mid lottery without finding a star at the minimum. 1996 doesn’t have the top end talent of the other two classes. I love Iverson and feel he’s underrated but the draft class other than him and Bryant seriously lacks depth. 2003 has Lebron and a very strong top 5. Darko Milicic had the raw talent but it never translated to on court success. Our choice is the 1984 NBA draft as the greatest draft of all time. What is your pick? Let us know your thoughts in the comments. The Recommended Content Widget will appear here on the published site.

The top 25 nba players under 254/12/2021 What follows is Basketball Rehab's top 25 NBA players under 25. As explained below we used a mixture of current production, potential and future projection. What is potential? How do you quantify potential when no one knows the future? That is the challenge of making these lists. What we will do here, is combine what has happened with what we think will happen based on the production players have provided thus far. What we hope to get out of this is to acknowledge the steps some rookies have taken to insert themselves into the ranks of the best the NBA has to offer, while still recognizing the game of more established players. Now that we’ve explained our methodology. Let's get to the list. 1. Luka Doncic Dallas Mavericks- During the 2018 NBA draft we saw a rich man's Gallinari. We thought maybe he becomes a star but Doncic has been a clear young superstar. His size (6’7″, 230 lbs.) allows him to get into many favorable matchups and attack the basket where appropriate, while his skill set allows him to make the most of difficult shots. He could could improve his turnover rate or maybe be a bit better on defense but that's nitpicking to even name flaws. A clear MVP candidate Doncic is the engine that fuels the Mavericks future championship hopes. This Season: 28.6 PPG, 8.8 APG, 8.1 RPG, 1.0 SPG, 0.6 BPG, 48.6 FG%, 37.6 3P%, 73.4 FT%. Career Stats: 25.7 PPG, 7.6 APG, 8.4 RPG, 1.0 SPG, 0.4 BPG, 45.6 FG%, 33.5 3P%, 73.7 FT%. 2. Jayson Tatum Boston Celtics- We were concerned about Tatum's defense, we doubted his ceiling justified the 3rd overall pick. We saw a star but this was a deep draft at least we thought that at the time. Hindsight is always 20/20. Tatum is a young superstar on the rise. The Celtics have struggled this year but a team decimated by injuries is not Tatum's fault. This Season: 25.2 PPG, 4.3 APG, 7.0 RPG, 1.3 SPG, 0.5 BPG, 45.3 FG%, 37.9 3P%, 86.4 FT%. Career Stats: 18.6 PPG, 2.5 APG, 6.1 RPG, 1.2 SPG, 0.7 BPG, 45.6 FG%, 39.6 3P%, 83.6 FT%. 3. Trae Young Atlanta Hawks- The other part of the infamous Luka Doncic draft day trade. Trae Young is much better than most realize. Young is an elite scorer we had number one on our 2018 draft board. His passing vision makes his team mates better but his defense is a concern to many. We feel with the level of impact he has had on a young Atlanta Hawks team he has graduated to superstar status. 4. Devin Booker Phoenix Suns- We hated Booker's porous defense for probably too long. The reality is Booker is a young superstar who is easily one of the best scorers and playmakers in the league. This Season: 25.9 PPG, 4.6 APG, 4.1 RPG, 0.9 SPG, 0.2 BPG, 49.8 FG%, 36.7 3P%, 85.5 FT%. Career Stats: 22.9 PPG, 4.7 APG, 3.7 RPG, 0.8 SPG, 0.3 BPG, 45.5 FG%, 35.6 3P%, 86.9 FT%. 5. Donovan Mitchell Utah Jazz. Mitchell is not just one of the best scorer's in the league he is the clear driver of the Jazz future hopes for success. During the 2017 draft we saw a star but made the same mistake 12 other NBA teams did we saw a PG who needed to become a better passer instead of a gifted two guard who could score at will. This Season: 25.4 PPG, 5.4 APG, 4.4 RPG, 1.0 SPG, 0.3 BPG, 43.5 FG%, 39.6 3P%, 84.3 FT%. Career Stats: 23.1 PPG, 4.3 APG, 4.1 RPG, 1.3 SPG, 0.3 BPG, 43.8 FG%, 36.4 3P%, 82.8 FT%. 6. Zion Willamson New Orleans Pelicans. On paper you could make an argument for putting Zion in the top three. However a dark cloud still remains. Despite his superstar level talent Zion has a injury history that reads like a scary movie plot. Can he stay healthy? He is so dependent on his athletic gifts and is such a poor shooter that we don't see his career surviving Blake Griffin level knee problems. 7. Bam Adebayo Miami Heat- Bam looks the part of a young star with the tools to ascend to superstardom. After a NBA finals appearance his combination of athletic tools, motor and basketball IQ we can only see him getting better. This Season: 19.2 PPG, 5.4 APG, 9.6 RPG, 0.9 SPG, 1.2 BPG, 56.4 FG%, 25.0 3P%, 82.4 FT%. Career Stats: 12.0 PPG, 3.4 APG, 8.0 RPG, 0.8 SPG, 0.9 BPG, 55.6 FG%, 15.9 3P%, 73.8 FT%. 8. Brandon Ingram New Orleans Pelicans- The centerpiece of the Anthony Davis trade Ingram is a young star who might grow into more. Even now he is an excellent scorer and playmaker for a wing. New Orleans likely has a bright future. This Season: 23.8 PPG, 4.7 APG, 4.9 RPG, 0.6 SPG, 0.7 BPG, 47.5 FG%, 38.6 3P%, 87.6 FT%. Career Stats: 17.5 PPG, 3.4 APG, 5.0 RPG, 0.7 SPG, 0.6 BPG, 46.2 FG%, 36.7 3P%, 74.8 FT%. 9. Shai Gilgeous Alexander Oklahoma City Thunder We once sarcastically said Shai wouldn't be a star anywhere other than Europe. If you are working on a time machine please call me. Shai is a young star there is no longer any room for debate. A year under Chris Paul sure helped but his combination of passing vision and basketball IQ are timeless. This Season: 23.7 PPG, 5.9 APG, 4.7 RPG, 0.8 SPG, 0.7 BPG, 50.8 FG%, 41.8 3P%, 80.8 FT%. Career Stats: 16.3 PPG, 3.8 APG, 4.3 RPG, 1.1 SPG, 0.6 BPG, 48.2 FG%, 37.3 3P%, 80.5 FT%. 10. De'Aaron Fox Sacramento Kings Fox looked like a clear star on draft day back in 2017 and he hasn't disappointed. One of the best young PG's in the league he rounds out our top 10. This Season: 24.6 PPG, 7.1 APG, 3.3 RPG, 1.4 SPG, 0.5 BPG, 47.8 FG%, 32.6 3P%, 71.6 FT%. Career Stats: 17.8 PPG, 6.3 APG, 3.4 RPG, 1.4 SPG, 0.5 BPG, 45.8 FG%, 32.7 3P%, 71.7 FT%. The rest of the middle of this list is a mixture of young stars who could become more and young players who you have to project a bit. 11. Jaylen Brown Boston Celtics This Season: 24.1 PPG, 3.5 APG, 5.6 RPG, 1.2 SPG, 0.5 BPG, 48.5 FG%, 39.8 3P%, 75.9 FT%. Career Stats: 16.3 PPG, 3.8 APG, 3.6 RPG, 0.9 SPG, 0.3 BPG, 44.6 FG%, 36.7 3P%, 87.7 FT%. 14. Michael Porter Jr- He has clear star potential and is already an excellent scorer. We infamously were so worried about his health and defense we said McDonald's and going pro in China were his best career options. Any progress on that time machine? This Season: 16.9 PPG, 1.0 APG, 7.5 RPG, 0.6 SPG, 0.9 BPG, 54.2 FG%, 45.4 3P%, 75.0 FT%. Career Stats: 12.5 PPG, 0.9 APG, 5.9 RPG, 0.5 SPG, 0.7 BPG, 52.7 FG%, 44.1 3P%, 78.9 FT%. 15. Ben Simmons Philadelphia 76ers- On paper Simmons has superstar talent. He's an excellent defender and very good playmaker but he hasn't really gotten better. Will he ever have a jump shot? The 76ers championship hopes depend on it. This Season: 15.2 PPG, 7.2 APG, 7.8 RPG, 1.5 SPG, 0.6 BPG, 54.6 FG%, 33.3 3P%, 63.4 FT%. Career Stats: 13.2 PPG, 3.1 APG, 6.4 RPG, 0.7 SPG, 0.4 BPG, 52.2 FG%, 31.7 3P%, 72.1 FT%. 17. RJ Barrett New York Knicks- RJ was number 1 on our draft board in 2019. After nearly two years of pretty much being openly slandered by the internet he is finally starting to look like a star. We still think his ceiling is a James Harden level superstar watch for him to be much higher on a future list. 18. Lamelo Ball Charlotte Hornets This Season: 15.9 PPG, 6.1 APG, 5.9 RPG, 1.6 SPG, 0.3 BPG, 45.1 FG%, 37.5 3P%, 78.9 FT%. Career Stats: “TBD”. 19. OG Anunoby Toronto Raptors This Season: 14.6 PPG, 1.9 APG, 5.8 RPG, 1.6 SPG, 0.8 BPG, 47.8 FG%, 39.4 3P%, 75.3 FT%. Career Stats: 8.7 PPG, 1.1 APG, 3.9 RPG, 1.0 SPG, 0.4 BPG, 48.0 FG%, 37.2 3P%, 67.7 FT%. 20. John Collins Atlanta Hawks- This Season: 18.2 PPG, 1.4 APG, 7.8 RPG, 0.5 SPG, 1.0 BPG, 54.5 FG%, 38.0 3P%, 83.8 FT%. Career Stats: 16.6 PPG, 1.5 APG, 8.6 RPG, 0.6 SPG, 1.0 BPG, 56.5 FG%, 37.3 3P%, 77.4 FT%. 21. Patrick Williams Chicago Bulls- I can't shake the fact he reminds me in raw potential of a young Jimmy Butler. The defensive tools and shooting ability are there. I think the Bulls have something special. This season: 9.5 PPG 4.7 RPG 1.3 APG 47% FG 38% 3PT Career stats: TBD 22. Deandre Hunter- This Season: 16.0 PPG, 2.1 APG, 5.1 RPG, 0.9 SPG, 0.5 BPG, 50.2 FG%, 35.6 3P%, 86.7 FT%. Career Stats: 13.2 PPG, 1.9 APG, 4.7 RPG, 0.7 SPG, 0.3 BPG, 43.3 FG%, 35.5 3P%, 79.9 FT%. 23. De'Andre Ayton Phoenix Suns This Season: 14.8 PPG, 1.5 APG, 10.8 RPG, 0.4 SPG, 1.1 BPG, 61.1 FG%, 23.5 3P%, 76.7 FT%. Career Stats: 16.3 PPG, 1.7 APG, 10.7 RPG, 0.7 SPG, 1.1 BPG, 58.0 FG%, 20.6 3P%, 75.4 FT%. 24. James Wiseman- just like with Patrick Williams this is based on projecting future potential. We had Wiseman number 1 on our 2020 NBA draft board and he has definitely flashed glimpses of that potential. This Season: 11.5 PPG, 0.7 APG, 5.9 RPG, 0.3 SPG, 1.0 BPG, 50.9 FG%, 32.4 3P%, 64.3 FT%. Career stats: TBD 25. Lonzo Ball This Season: 14.5 PPG, 5.8 APG, 4.3 RPG, 1.4 SPG, 0.6 BPG, 42.1 FG%, 38.8 3P%, 78.3 FT%. Career Stats: 11.5 PPG, 6.4 APG, 5.8 RPG, 1.5 SPG, 0.6 BPG, 39.7 FG%, 35.3 3P%, 54.4 FT%. You could argue several names for our last spot but Lonzo has become solid starter even if he might never live up his draft slot. There is a real chance he doesn't make next years list though.
