We had our 1st trade of the NBA season with the Cavs sending Kyle Korver to the Utah Jazz
for Alec Burks and a pair of 2nd round picks. Cleveland will receive the Jazz 2020 2nd and Was 2021 2nd in the deal.
Earlier this week we covered some of the NBA trade chatter today we will cover some new nuggets on the trade market.
The Orlando Magic are on the hunt for PG depth and have inquired about Fultz and Ny Knicks PG Frank Ntlinika.
The LA Clippers are open to moving PG Milos Teosdic by the trade deadline.
The Phoenix Suns intend to take a look at their young Pg's but have strong trade interest in PG Terry Rozier of the Boston Celtics.
The Suns also had a conversation with Philly about a swap of Fultz and Ariza. Phoenix would have likely had to attach draft assets to make such a deal work.
The Houston Rockets are on the hunt for wing depth. They have at least inquired about trading for the following players:
Jr Smith, Justise Winslow, Kent Bazemore, Kelly Oubre Jr and Otto Porter Jr
The New Orleans Pelicans had interest in Korver and have inquired about John Wall via trade as well.
Here is all the latest chatter, rumors and news on the NBA trade front.
Markelle Fultz is available for trade and the following teams have all inquired.
New Orleans Pelicans
San Antonio Spurs
The Cavs have been the most aggressive offering Kyle Korver and a future 2nd for Fultz.
John Wall has a limited trade market
Wall hasn't received all that heavy of interest with the Suns as the most likely suitor.
The Miami Heat and New Orleans Pelicans have also inquired.
Bradley Beal available for trade
Bradley Beal is available and here is the latest on his trade market.
The Charlotte Hornets are determined to acquire Beal regardless of the cost, offering two different packages thus far.
Nicolas Batum, Malik Monk and a 2019 1st as well as Jeremy Lamb, Marvin Williams, Malik Monk and a 2019 1st.
Other teams that have inquired are the Miami Heat and New Orleans Pelicans.
More to come as we hear updates.
There are some really excited players at the top of the 2019 NBA draft that posses star potential. Today we will take a look at the best the 2019 NBA draft has to offer.
1. RJ Barrett
Elite handles and slashing ability highlight Barrett as a do all scorer with star potential. His defense could be better but their is plenty to like at this point.
2. Cameron Reddish
As good as Barrett is, Reddish is a close 2nd. Elite scorer and slasher will real star potential.
Reminds me of Paul George.
3. Nassir Little
Little is an elite scorer who doesn't do much else. He reminds me of Harrison Barnes.
4. Romeo Langford
Romeo is a high level scorer and defender who is also an above average rebounder. He could be Victor Oladipo 2.0
5. Bol Bol
This is the best big prospect by a pretty wide margin. He has the handles and agility you don't expect from a C. An elite defender and rim protector Bol is still improving offensively. Reminds me of Joel Embiid.
Agree or disagree? Did I miss someone? Let me know in the comments.
Very few players at 6 foot 8 and 280 pounds would possess Zion Williamson's athletic gifts.
However Williamson has some real question marks that few are talking about.
At 6"8' Zion is undersized for the PF position. However you could argue his physical stature lends some compensation for this.
Zion is a terrible jumpshooter currently shooting 25% at Duke and even worse in highschool.
He lacks the advanced handle to take G's and Wing's off the dribble from the perimeter meaning his only offensive advantage is against other bigs who already have a height advantage.
Zion has a fairly basic handle lacking in advanced dribble moves. He won't be able to bully defenders at the next level.
Against Auburn and Gonzaga Zion struggled at times against NBA caliber length and pro level talent.
In the NBA Zion Williamson will struggle to live up to his physical gifts unless he shows substantial growth in skill.
I see Zion Williamson as a waste of a top 5 pick and likely only a rotational bench scorer in the NBA.
Without a high level of growth I think there is a real chance Williamson doesn't finish his rookie contract.
The Methodology for this article is simple. We ranks the top 50 NBA players by who we feel is most complete overall.
We rank one dimensional players lower than most even if they are excellent on offense or defense.
Top 10 C's in the NBA
1. Anthony Davis
2. Joel Embiid
3. Nikola Jokic
4. Demarcus Cousins
5. Rudy Gobert
6. Hassan Whiteside
7. Steven Adams
8. Jonas Valcunias
9. Karl Anthony Towns
10. Andre Drummond
Davis has been mostly playing C the last two seasons but can play PF as well. He is the best big man in the game regardless of where you put him.
Embiid is elite defensively and above average offensively.
After those two their isn't a C without some form or question mark. Jokic is elite offensively but struggles on defense. Cousin's is elite when healthy but currently injured. Whiteside and Gobert are high level defenders and rebounders but limited offensively.
Drummond is inconsistent and Towns has talent but has not put it all together just yet.

Let's set aside the all time greatest debate and look at another topic widely debated.
Lebron James vs Michael Jordan let's look at their age 29 season to provide the most fair statistical comparison.
We will take an in depth look at offense, defense and analytics and let you know what the numbers tell us and our interpretation.
As scoring goes Lebron and Jordan are both elite scorers however Lebron is the better 3 point shooter. We will call this a tie.
Lebron has a higher career asisst average and more games with a large number of assists. This one goes to Lebron.
Jordan and Lebron are also pretty close here but I give a slight edge to Lebron.
Jordan averages nearly one more steal and slightly more blocks per 36 min.
Defensive metrics show that both have been above defenders most of their careers , however starting at age 29 Lebron's defensive performance has begun to wane.
Also of note at the height of their prime's or age 29 Jordan posted a 9.5 BPM to Lebron's 9.0 and a 9 to 8 advantage in VORP.
By his age 33 season Jordan was still posting a defensive rating of 102 while Lebron's has dropped to 109 or close to league average.
Looking at this overall comparison here is my conclusion.
Lebron James and Michael Jordan are all time greats and legends to the game. However I give a slight edge to Michael Jordan based on near identical scoring ability but overall being a better defender.
